Bio for Dave Nelson

 

Shorter version

DAVID NELSON has earned a Master of Music degree from Northern Illinois University, and teaches classical guitar for Rock Valley College.  He works as an Electronic Commerce Analyst for Acument Global Technologies.

 

Medium version

DAVID NELSON is well known in the Rockford area.  Currently, he runs the Studio of Excellence and is the classical guitar instructor at Rock Valley College.  He received degrees from Northern Illinois University in music education and theory.  He also plays violin and has performed with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra.  Mr. Nelson's full-time employment is with Acument Global Technologies, Information Services.  He is married to Susan (Jacobs) and they home school their four children, who also play the guitar.

DAVID NELSON is well known in the Rockford area.  Currently, he runs the Studio of Excellence and is the classical guitar instructor at Rock Valley College.  He has also taught at Rockford College and Beloit College.  He received an Associate degree from RVC and a Bachelor of Music degree from Northern Illinois University in music education, violin.   He later earned a Master of Music degree from NIU in theory and composition, guitar.  Mr. Nelson has played violin with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra.  He has had teacher training in the Suzuki Method.  His current full-time employment is with Acument Global Technologies, Information Services.  He is married to Susan (Jacobs) and they home school their four children, who all play the guitar.
